Sarah Angeles began Pacifica Pet Care for two primary reasons. First, to avoid having to leave her new Great Dane puppy (Vanna, now almost 2 years old) home alone for long periods of time each day while she worked a “real” job. Second, to experience firsthand the joys and challenges of operating a small business in a capacity close to her heart – companion animal care.

Sarah lived her entire life in the Midwest before moving to California a few years ago, splitting her time between a 4-acre wooded lot in Minnesota and an 80-acre “hobby farm” in Wisconsin. Over the years, her family’s collection of pets and companion animals has included: various orphaned ‘wild’ baby animals, 14 dogs, 2 horses, more than 100 cats, 2 rabbits, 7 hamsters, 2 guinea pigs, 1 duck, hundreds of chickens, dozens of “pet” cows and numerous assorted fish, reptiles and amphibians... Founding Pacifica Pet Care was a natural extension of Sarah’s lifelong affinity for all creatures furred, feathered and finned. Caring for her many wonderful clients in Pacifica, and getting to know their equally wonderful human counterparts, has added immensely to the innate joy of being a Midwestern transplant whose home is now a “small town” on the beautiful Northern California coast.
