Sarah

Sarah Angeles began Pacifica Pet Care for two primary reasons. First, to avoid having to leave her new Great Dane puppy (Vanna, now 4 years old) home alone for long periods of time each day while she worked a “real” job. Second, to experience firsthand the joys and challenges of operating a small business in a capacity close to her heart – companion animal care.

Sarah lived her entire life in the Midwest before moving to California a few years ago, splitting her time between a 4-acre wooded lot in Minnesota and an 80-acre “hobby farm” in Wisconsin. Over the years, her family’s collection of pets and companion animals has included: various orphaned ‘wild’ baby animals, 14 dogs, 2 horses, more than 100 cats, 2 rabbits, 7 hamsters, 2 guinea pigs, 1 duck, hundreds of chickens, dozens of “pet” cows and numerous assorted fish, reptiles and amphibians... Founding Pacifica Pet Care was a natural extension of Sarah’s lifelong affinity for all creatures furred and feathered. Caring for her many wonderful clients in Pacifica, and getting to know their equally wonderful human counterparts, has added immensely to the innate joy of being a Midwestern transplant whose home is now a “small town” on the beautiful Northern California coast.

Johanna

Johanna has possessed a life-long enthusiasm for animals. Being a San Francisco ‘city kid’ did not hinder her from becoming acquainted with the joys of working with creatures big and small. She was born into a family which already contained an eccentric orange tabby cat. Soon to follow were a talkative cockatiel named Jack, several rats, a mouse, a hamster, tropical fish and frogs raised from tadpoles. She took classes at Golden Gate Stables where she was taught basic equestrian care and English-style horseback riding.

Johanna currently lives in Pacifica with Jack, an energetic Hungarian Vizsla named Oona and four cats that were rescued as frightened feral kittens in her backyard. With lots of love and patience, Johanna was able to coax the kittens into becoming affectionate pets. When she isn’t working with animals, she draws them to compliment her studies in illustration at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

She counts herself incredibly fortunate to be able to work and play with the wonderful variety of furry personalities that are clients of Pacifica Pet Care. From kitty cuddles to lively puppy romps, Johanna enjoys the responsibility involved in keeping family companions happy, healthy and thoroughly entertained while their owners are away. In addition to doing daily visits with dogs and cats, and occasional overnight stays in clients' homes, Johanna provides artwork design and administrative support to Pacifica Pet Care.

aboutus_jacki

Jacki

Jacki joined Pacifica Pet Care in January 2011 and has quickly become indispensable to the company. She is willing and able to take on any job that comes her way. She was raised with both German Shepherds and Labrador Retrievers. Her beloved kitty passed away in early 2011 and Jacki eagerly takes on new kitty assignments to help her adjust to his absence. Dogs and cats alike adore her within moments. Her friendly, outgoing personality and trustworthiness make her an excellent pet sitter.

Along with her adorable 5 year old son, Noah, and her fiancee Josh Newman (of Newman Landscapes), Jacki currently lives only blocks away from beautiful Linda Mar Beach. She was born and raised in Pacifica and most of her family still lives close by.

Jacki can most often be found traipsing the neighborhoods and hillside trails of Pacifica, providing mid day walks for dogs who aren't up to the terrain challenges of Sarah's longer group runs. She provides private and leash walks for clients who aren't able to go on longer group outings off leash. Jacki is also available for pet sitting visits and kitty care. In short, she does it all!
